My Photography

I'm not pro by any stretch of the imagination...but I love taking pictures...here are what I consider to be some of my best shots.

My Scrapping Cat

This is Hershey...he is the inspiration for my scrapbooking business...he is a 10 yr old maine coon with an attitude. He never sits with anyone, is not a cuddly, love everyone kind of pet, but I love him anyway...the only time he ever stays with me, is if I'm down in my scrap room...he usually sits in the window or on the chair next to me...so I began calling him "my scrapping cat". When I started my business, I was with a Canadian company as a consultant, but when I decided to leave and go out on my own...I had to come up with a name...it wasn't hard..and I think it's kinda catchy.

Baby It's Cold Outside

:
An old picture, and a lone one, of my daughter...followed the color wheel on this one.. 3 side by side colors...edged the cardstock with white embossing powder for that cold icy look

Tradition

This is a layout of my son and I...every year, mostly anyway, we go blueberry picking together. I was inspired by my dd actually, who did a picture on her fb of her friends and it mimicked a motivational poster...so I copied her idea for my title. I do still need to do some journalling...

Cards

This past weekend, I was on the cricut boards and found some card challenges. I usually don't like making cards, but there were sketches with the challenges, and I thought...I can do this...so here is what I made

Carolyn's Garden

We did some renovating in our back yard this year, and took some pics. The journalling is done on a paint chip from the hardware store. For the flower, I made a two petal template out of cardstock, and did it old school...trace and cut. I tried to stamp right on a silk flower, but the ink kept bleeding until you couldn't read the words...

Many Faces of the Man I Love

Been waiting for some time to get this one done...another scraplift, but sometimes ya just gotta cheat a little to get the job done.

It Was the Summer of '96

Been steadily working at getting all those old pics scrapped...been at it for a couple years. I have found it to be quite challenging as I wasn't a scrapper then, so my pics are random and not very good quality, but m happy with the overall result. These are some random pics from summer '96...found the layout in a Scrapbooks etc mag.

Seventeen

I got the inspiration for this layout from a copy of the magazine "Seventeen" that my daughter had laying around. These pictures were taken around her seventeenth birthday, and somehow, the magazine type look seemed appropriate. I used an overlay that I made myself, and really tried to copy the look of the cover of a typical magazine.

Beyond the Sea

Took these pictures while on a recent trip to Florida. I got up early, and walked the beach, waiting for the sun to come up and shine on the surf...this is what I got

For the Birds

Love this layout...simple and very balanced. The "f", "t" and "b" are chipboard that were covered in patterned paper. The other chip letters were painted to match the color scheme.

Me

This is me...I don't often like pictures of myself...but I love this one. I took it myself on a recent family vacation in Treasure Island, Florida. My kids call it a "myspace" photo..you know the kind, at arms length away...taken yourself...oh well, when I look at it, and see the Gulf behind me...it brings back sweet memories

Easter Goodie Bags

Ok...made these with George...had to copy a bag from another cart, but it worked...bags are filled with chocolate and will be set on table for dinner and used as place markers...can't wait to share them with everyone.
