House Warming Card

Made this card for my husbands neice...who just bought her first house. The card base is from Wild Card...the fence is from Picturesque...flowers from a variety of carts including Forever Young, vine is from Home Decor, or maybe Home Accents, mailbox is from Wild Card. I made the envelope just out of a scrap piece of paper and the bird is from Serenade...the white trim under the roofline is a Martha Stewart Punch. It is a whopping 10 1/2" tall, and so I had to make my own envelope...the inside has another fence that is attached at the sides and bottom, so a gift card to a local home decor store can be inserted as a house warming gift.

Chipboard Album - Tennessee Vacation

This was such an exciting project for me to do. It is a 6 x 12 chipboard album, made from 12 x12 sheets of chipboard. I cut them in half on my trimmer, then covered in patterned paper, and then rounded all the corners. Since I had planned on doing a full page album, I had all my pics printed in 4x6 and wanted to use them all, so I had to come up with ways to conceal pictures in the album...and so it became an interactive book. The file folders you see on various pages were welded in design studio and flip down to show more pics. I used a variety of cartridges in this project too, but mostly Graphically Speaking...looooooooooove this cartridge. The go karts were made in design studio as well, as I didn't have a cut that really resembled a go kart. I apologize for so many pictures, but I am thrilled with the outcome and wanted to share the whole project with you all. Thanks for looking

Being Sick Stinks!

Made this card for this weeks RAQ Card challenge...I had seen RAQ use this paper pack a number of times, and I wanted it so badly (not at 19.99 though) Yesterday dh took me shopping at HL, and they had all their paper packs 50% off...woo hoo...so I grabbed it. I cut the skunk out and popped him up, the thin strip through the black ovals is actually the edge of the paper and you see in the background...letters are from Zooballoo and arrows from HD...oh...and the inside is stamped "feel better soon"

Memory Game

Made this memory game for the weekly challenge over at My Sheri Crafts The theme this week was kids...now my kids are 18 and 20...so this was really a challenge for me...It's a memory game..you know...where you flip all the cards over (so you can't see the images) and then choose 2 cards and try to get a matched pair by remembering which card is where. I used Martha Stewarts Classic Woodland paper set...which was perfect for this project. All the animals were cut from various cricut carts. Complete instructions and supply list are here.

Mother's Day Card

Made this card for My Sheri Crafts challenge...all the instructions can be found on the webstore, by clicking here and then choosing "sample projects" It was a card inspired by a beautiful bouquet of lilacs my dh brought in the house and set on the coffee table...I love lilacs...tfl!

My Sheri Challenge Week # 2 - Special Fold Cards

This was such a fun card to make. It is called a criss cross and I got the instruction from Splitcoast Stampers...click here to get instructions. It was easy to make and I love the way it turned out...the paper is Basic Grey, Gypsy line, and the cs is Bazzill. The big flower on the front, I cut from one of the papers and popped it up. The band around the card was punched with the Dotted Wave Punch. Sentiments are clear stamps. Flower and swirl are from HD, bfly and card pull are from SB, and greenery are ms branch punch. Made these two cards for RAQ's card challenge this week. They are from the same sketch...daveshunny inspired me with her ladybug card in the same design...and although cute and whimsical is usually not my style, these were a lot of fun to make

Made this for the weekly RAQ card challenge...the jagged edge I made with a scalloped square punch and turned it and just kept punching...bfly is from HD

Another all occasion card for RAQ's card challenge...this one I love...the shelf is from Christmas/Noel, the bird from HD and the sentiment is from BB...green branch is of course the ms branch punch, and the bird house is from syi.

Family Tree

I am so excited to share this layout with you. This is my family tree on my dad's side of the family...we are related to Mata Hari, the famous WWI spy for the French and Germans. My cousin in Holland did the research and passed it on to me...the brown matted names are the direct descendants of my family, and the beige matted are the descendants of Mata Hari, and we all link up to one family. The scalloped ovals are cut in storybook, the tree trunk is hand cut, and the branches are from home decor.

My Parents Wedding

I absolutely love love love this photo of my parents on their wedding day...see the onlooker in the background. This is the first page in my album of my life. Flowers were made with varying sizes of circles in George, and then crumpled up and layerd and a pearl in the center. Swirls are HA and HD, and title was done in Storybook and shadowed. Used my ms border punch on the patterns

This was another flower card...inspired first by IsabellaWheadon, and then by EdieShaw, who was inspired by my first flower card, then I saw Edie's and was inspired again with the watering can...made the pots and the watering can with scal, yellow flowers are george, sunflower is syi, leaves are storybook, swirls are home decor, and the orange, pink, white and purple flower all cut with scal, font common bullets. Everything was inked and popped up for dimension

Mothers Day Flower Pot card

This card was inspired by Isabella Wheadon on the Cricut mb...she posted a hanging basket full of flowers, and I was immediately inspired to make this. The pot was made in scal with basic shapes and then inked from the upper rim downwards to give the illusion of shadowing. The flowers cut as follows...yellow 1" george, purple and pink 1/4" scal font common bullets, the two leaves in the front are 1" and the shadow cut from Storybook and the greenery in behind is Storybook and Home Accents cut at 1" to 2". The vines in front are from Home Accents and Home Decor, cut at 1 1/4" and 1 1/2". All flowers and leaves were inked. I started by popping up my pot, then placed the background leaves first. Then popped some of the next ones, but not all to give depth. the vines went on last. Glued the yellow flowers first (oh, the centers are just done with std hole punch), then a couple purple for color and finally the pink ones all over...this was such a fun card to make, and I am really pleased with how it turned out.

Iris folding card

Saw this technique on Curt's blog, and he did such a fabulous job on his cards, I was inspired to try it out. Mine did not come out quite as good as his, but this is my first attempt. I did my cut out with scal, and the swirls and birds are from Home Decor (new cart dh bought for my birthday) I cut out a 5x7 black piece with the flower shape cut in the middle,a nd then cut another out of the same paper as the iris folds (which I didn't actually fold, they are just strips of paper) and cut out the shadow blackout of the same shape so as to make it look as though it is all the same sheet.
