Canada Day Card

Made this card for the weekly challenge over at My Sheri Crafts...totally inspired by a gentleman we met while on vacation in Tennessee several years ago. When he found out we were from Canada, he had to tell us this joke, he thought it was hilarious...so I'm passing it on. Cat Card for a Friend

A friend of mine took in a grey cat and turned out she was pregnant...she recently had 3 kittens and I wanted to make this card for her. Flowers are from JBC, the buggy is from ZB, the grass is a quikutz die, and the words are rub ons. Tfl

Being Sick Stinks!

Made this card for this weeks RAQ Card challenge...I had seen RAQ use this paper pack a number of times, and I wanted it so badly (not at 19.99 though) Yesterday dh took me shopping at HL, and they had all their paper packs 50% off...woo hoo...so I grabbed it. I cut the skunk out and popped him up, the thin strip through the black ovals is actually the edge of the paper and you see in the background...letters are from Zooballoo and arrows from HD...oh...and the inside is stamped "feel better soon"

Spring Garden

This is the first in a set of three layouts for my scrapbook this year...Spring , Summer and Autumn Garden...showcasing the many blooms in my garden through out the season. The challenge came from My Sheri Crafts, and the theme was flowers...All the instructions can be found here as well as a supply list for the layout. Memory Game

Made this memory game for the weekly challenge over at My Sheri Crafts The theme this week was kids...now my kids are 18 and 20...so this was really a challenge for me...It's a memory game..you know...where you flip all the cards over (so you can't see the images) and then choose 2 cards and try to get a matched pair by remembering which card is where. I used Martha Stewarts Classic Woodland paper set...which was perfect for this project. All the animals were cut from various cricut carts. Complete instructions and supply list are here.

Made these two cards for RAQ's card challenge this week. They are from the same sketch...daveshunny inspired me with her ladybug card in the same design...and although cute and whimsical is usually not my style, these were a lot of fun to make

Enough Winter!

Made this card for RAQ's challenge this week. We got about 8" of snow last night, and today my dh and I were driving around enjoying the pretty scenery, and I began thinking about all the people on the east coast who have gotten so much snow, and this card idea came to me. Behind the "winter" is a spring scene that can be viewed when you lift the flap up. This was so much fun to make, and reminded me (a summer lover) that winter will soon come to an end. Carts used: Home Accents (snowflakes), SYI (sunflowers, winter, spring, tree, snowman(I think) ), Zooballoo (grass) scal for tiny flowers and other fonts, George (circles on tree) Snow layers were embossed manually with Fiskars shape boss and inked with light blue chalk ink. Cut the 3 circles on the tree at 1" and inked and layered them on top of the tree. This was such a fun card to make.

Made this card for RAQ's challenge last week. The black window frame is popped up to give dimension and make it look like you are inside looking out. The monkey and the vines are from Zooballoo as is the letters. The scalloped circle is from Storybook. I used a fern patterned paper in behind to easily portray the look of a jungle. It is not my typical type of card, but it was a lot of fun to use cute images.

Welcome Baby!

Made this card for my dd to give to her friend who is having a baby boy...the design was scraplifted from Lynette Neus on the Cricut mb...I really liked the clean simple look it had...the embossing was done with a fiskars shapeboss (yes, it takes time to complete) and all the cuts were made from Zooballoo. The challenge was to use your least used cartridge...and this was mine. I do use the tree a lot from Zooballoo, but thats it.
